Need a film crew team to help you capture the beauty of the Big Mountains at high-altitude? Work with world-record breaking mountaineer and #14Peaks film maker Nimsdai Purja.

Who are we and how can we help you get the best high-altitude content?

Nimsdai Purja is the world record-breaking mountaineer famous for summiting all 14 of the world’s ‘Death Zone’ Peaks over 8,000m in just six months and six days. Together with a team of ten Nepalese climbers he also made history as part of the first team to ever stand on the top of K2 in Winter.

His extraordinary story is the subject of the hit Netflix documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible. Nimsdai and his team filmed more than 100 hours of footage to capture the entire adventure. The stunning results speak for themselves – the 14 peaks were captured like never before on film in stunning HD cinematic quality. It is this level of skill and experience that Nimsdai and his team can bring to your filming project.

Filming 14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible

Shot across more than a year, battling extreme weather, climbing while filming with a drone and using handheld cameras, the behind-the-scenes story of Nimsdai’s 14 Peaks is as fascinating and ambitious as the film itself. Together Nimsdai and his team captured more than 100 hours of footage, which were then ‘brought to life’ over the next 18 months by director Torquil Jones.

Stage one of the project – which included Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Kanchenjunga - was shot on handheld cameras and portable mounted personal cameras.

On some mountains, Nims had to climb while flying the drone at the same time, because otherwise, if he stopped to film the guys, he would be so far behind. He had to literally climb while operating the drone. He even flew the drones as he was climbing Kinshofer Wall on Nanga Parbat. On Dhaulagiri they got the footage you see at the start of the trailer where they are in some extreme weather – 60 to 70 kmph wind speeds.

Why choose

Nims (leader on all expeditions) is a multi-world record breaking mountaineer, the fastest to summit all 14 8000m peaks. He has led 20 x 8000m expeditions with a 100% success rate, in both reaching the summit and more importantly bringing everyone home safely. Combining this with his UK Special Forces and Ghurkha heritage, he is the perfect bridge between Western and Nepalese cultures, providing an invaluable local Himalayan infrastructure and a totally unique skillset fine-tuned for success in the mountains. This is reinforced with a world class team of Sherpas hand-picked by himself through a process similar to the rigorous demands of special forces selection, all operating together with shared principles and code of conduct.

Safety through

If it’s controllable we control it, this is key to attain and maintain our industry leading strategy for success and safety. We maximise our options, agility and responsiveness by running totally self-sufficient expeditions, not relying on any other teams on the mountain to achieve our objectives. We are capable of setting up our own fixed lines (with a proven track record on all 8000m peaks) and have backups to cover all scenarios, from secondary oxygen supplies through to the ability and experience to operate our own rescue missions if the situation arises.
