Safety &
Training

Safety will always be our priority. The harsh environments within which we operate demand it. Your welfare and ability form the foundations of our planning and decision making throughout any expedition.

Safety from expert guidance

Alongside Nims, the supporting team of Sherpa guides are expert climbers and expedition leaders in their own right who undergo a rigorous selection and training process to ensure you get the safest, most informed and most professional climbing experience possible. We will always ensure there is at least one IFMGA certified guide to support on all our expeditions. Many of our handpicked support network have led successful guided ascents to some of the world’s most demanding peaks, including Everest, Annapurna and K2.

Our focus on safety through meticulous planning, was clearly demonstrated during Bremont Project Possible. Not only did the team climb all 14 x 8000m peaks, some in extremely challenging conditions and timeframes, but most importantly all team members made it home safe and sound.

The most important thing is safety - for every person on the mountain, not just your own.

Skills development

Nims and the team don’t just lead, they work with you to develop your skills, proficiency and confidence as a climber, encouraging you to climb with increasing self-reliance. Our use of largely Sherpa guides also provides informed access and education into local cultures and a valuable native understanding of the mountain environments.

Before any expedition is agreed, we will naturally require complete insight into your current skillset and past achievements. If there are shortfalls within abilities and experience, we can collectively discuss the opportunities and/or provide a training support plan to achieve your goals.
